After a stormy start, winter has delivered fresh snow, calm conditions, and sunny days. Tom Tilley shares his unforgettable heli-ski experience with HMH.

Last week was a mixed bag of conditions thanks to an early storm, but winter prevailed bringing us plenty of fresh snow, calm conditions and sunny days, just in time for the weekend.

Tom Tilley, bass player of the Australian band Client Liaison, went heli-skiing with us last week and came back speechless.

 
Tom Tilley, a journalist and musician from Australia had a gig in Wanaka this week and took advantage of some downtime for a cheeky heli-ski, we jumped at the opportunity to ask him a few questions:

1) Is this your first time heli-skiing?
-Yes! I'm very excited, I don't know what to expect or what it’s gonna feel like. The moment the chopper leaves and you just have to go, that's the thrill I'm looking forward to.

2)Why did you choose HMH?
-I heard about the Company from different people in Wanaka, so I thought I'd give it a go. I've wanted to check out the Alps close up since arriving in Wanaka.

3) You're a skier, surfer and into motorbikes, what do these different sports have in common for you?
- They get me out of my normal head space, give me an adrenaline rush and the possibility to escape my daily routine for a moment. It makes me feel and test my own body. I really enjoy it!
