Stewart soars into the 2 million club!

Celebrating milestones at Harris Mountains Heli-Ski: Stewart Poon joins the 2 million vertical club, while Heinz Steiner hits his 200th heli-ski day with us!

It was a week of achievements for returning clients, with Heinz Steiner (pictured above in the red jacket) reaching his 200th day heli-skiing with us and now Stewart Poon (above left) has joined the 2 million vertical ft club. Stewart, who has been skiing with us for many years, wanted to reach the this huge milestone in skiing before he turned 70, he managed to complete this goal early on in his annual trip to the Southern Alps and did so with his good friends Josef and Heinz, also regular return clients to Harris Mountains Heli-Ski.

Stewart is always a hit with our staff and other guests, HMH manager Hugh Barnard explained that “he is a phenomenon, every year he seems to be getting younger and skiing better! He’s been a permanent fixture at HMH for 20 years - we only really call the winter begun when Stewart arrives! The way he’s going right now I reckon we’ll still see him here as he turns 90!”. Stewart will be awarded with an embroidered guide jacket to commemorate his huge achievement.
